Excellent. A strong thought provoking oil painting Barry.

You've captured that atmosphere Barry.

Lovely to see times, people and things preserved in paint Barry. Very good work.

Good work Barry, you should do more oils. They look really shattered here during their break, must be hard work!

Excellent record depiocted

Great atmosphere and dramatic .

I have fond memories of these hard working characters, unusual to see them smoking below ground...twist, chewing tobacco was the norm of the day, everybody spitting in synchronised fashion. A great painting of a bygone era.

Yes Barry and transferred a lot of your watercolour style also

This is exceptional Barry, I love the subject matter also.

Thank you all so much it’s great to receive such positive feedback especially as the work is painted in a medium I don’t use very often.

It never ceases to surprise and amaze me what different results we achieve from the same source material. I have used water mixable oils on a canvas board.
