I painted this as much to feel I was identifying with the battered people of Ukraine; I was delighted when the original sold and a print ordered even before adding the doves and peace-star; all profits from the $70 prints are going to support charities working with Ukrainian refugees. Absolutely spellbinding, Andy. The addition of the doves was a brilliant idea in the end. I was a little dubious at first as they are not a water loving bird. But seeing the dry land added, made such a difference. Showing hope springs eternal for the people of Ukraine. A beautiful painting, Andy, and so well done. The vibrancy in the colours is perfect, but also subtle. I love it. 🤗❤️xxx
