Very well drawn Alice. You have created a beautiful piece of artwork with this.

Wonderful drawing skills.

Lovely, such atmosphere.

Superb piece, with beautiful tonal work, composition and textures.

Really great drawing of a difficult subject

We visited Porthleven for the first time a couple of weeks ago. This is beautifully drawn.

Super technique. Patience rewarded. Lovely work. Last time I was in Porthleven, was in 1961. Spent the day on the grassy 'cliffs' above the beach, picnicking in the company of a bold Jenny wren. Regards John

Porthleven is a beautiful harbour town which can be a tranquil oasis on a still spring or summer's day or battered by powerful storms from the turbulent Atlantic in the autumn and winter months. The harbour itself has been built with huge granite walls to protect the fishing boats from the onslaught of the weather. Walking by the harbour at low tide, you can feel the protection of those massive stone walls just as the vessels themselves do, keeping them from harm.
