‘Blanketed Beneath the Leaden Skies, Penrose’ 50.8 x 25.4xcm, Acrylic It is quite unusual to get snow in this part of Cornwall. Being almost surrounded by water keeps the weather fairly temperate, so seeing the beautiful landscape cloaked in snow is a beautiful rarity. This view of Penrose was from a few years ago when the ‘Beast From the East’ had us in its grip. The sky was an ominous grey with a wintery sun trying to shine through, casting an eerie light on the snow covered landscape…
