Such a busy looking scene , but no great amount of detail. It’s another excellent piece Alan , yes it would make a really good full painting .

Just love the simplicity, yet its also full of detail in its lines. Just love it, and I agree with Paul it would make a great full size painting. Still exquisite as it is

Great loose, spirited drawing, Alan. Would make a good oil in your hands, I'm sure

Always so good Alan. Your compositions are spot on every time, and the hints of colour are just right.

Lively, full of interest…a great sketch.

This is so vibrant. The lines are so beautifully expressive. And of course I love the limited palette

So full of life but without the detail, superb!🙏

Yes, definitely would make a lovely oil painting, look forward to seeing it.

This is a cracker Alan, there's so much going on.

Great sketch for a painting,

Your favourite subjects - as Paul says, busy looking scene, or I'd prefer active to 'busy', because of the negative connotations which Paul didn't mean - sometimes though the word is taken as criticism; I know he didn't mean it that way. Implied detail, and when you look closely, just well-placed marks - I wish I could be that 'gung-ho', but I get too blessed careful, and so lose the life.

Would love to see this as a full painting, lovely as it is though.

Wonderful and very loosely done Alan, typical of your amazing style

Love these energetic marks!

Love it

Lovely, Alan.

Pen and watercolour wash in a Strathmore toned grey sketchbook. Simplistic nautical scene which might make an oil painting at some point in time! My usual ‘gung-ho’ approach to these simple sketchbook scribbles! Emphasis on strong tonal values and using a single colour!
