I like it when you add the watercolour washes, it softens everything - the choice of colours are also very important of course.

Superb work Alan, it’s full of action and movement.

I agree with Marjorie, very appealing

I like this a lot. Lovely.

Really good Alan.

Really good sketch Alan.

I agree with Marjorie! Also especially like the sparkled water

Super work. The sparkling water was first to catch my eye Alan.

Love your sketch Alan, and the ghostly palette -terrific!

Another great sketch Alan, I'm going to have a try at these, really love the palette you use.

Soft and beautiful Alan another delight 😊

Another beautiful piece of work, you do these so well!

Full of sparkle, interest and wonderful boats, which create narrative Alan.

Another super example of sketching a subject in an informal way Alan.

Works well and like the sparkle.

I do believe your sketches work well because they are well balanced, visually and tonally. Lovely work.

Great stuff Alan, it's inspiring!

Most appealing, like the soft colours.

Very good Alan, lovely buildings and boats, and highlights, nicely aligned for this scene, it looks superb!

You have captured the movement perfectly Alan - splendid work.

Love the subdued colours and freedom, very impressionistic style. (Monet ?)

Another delight, so much to see.
