All part of my ‘sketch a day’ routine! Quick and expressive, accuracy not important!

A little beauty ✨️

I do enjoy you ‘gung~ho ‘ sketches Alan , they would make excellent cards and a book of sketch’s . Best thing is like a good painting they tell a story .

A little beauty indeed.

A superb sketch Alan using all your knowledge and skills so efficient and effective.

A very skilful and pleasing group of old buildings with a nice touch of snow!

A beauty Alan.

Wonderful sketch!

Fab scribble Al! A wonderful subject for a quick and loose scribble……so effective.

Ten minutes! Well it’s really good. Sometimes quick is special.

Fabulous work, Alan. Excellent tonal contrast.

If I could get a result like this with a "gung-ho 10 minute scribble", I'd be a happy boy. I sort of hope and sort of don't that we get some real snow this year: the older I get the more I feel the cold, and the less sure I am on the tootsies - but I do love to paint snow: and for some reason, snow pictures sell. I bet this one would, if you put a mount on it. I must invest in a Stillman & Birn sketchbook: I have a "String and Space", which has lovely thick paper, but I've had a look at the Stillman and Birn range, and am groping for some coins down the back of the armchair; not that they're hugely expensive, but I've been profligate on the art front lately. Well, it's me only pleasure, doctor...

10 minute scribble is full of movement and it’s just fabulous!

Beautiful as always Alan-

This is great Alan. I love your gung ho scribbles and what beautiful handwriting you have, very artistic!

Like the strong marks and colours.

Shades of what’s to come later in the year perhaps! Stillman & Birn sketchbook, coupled with my usual ‘gung-ho’ 10 minute scribbles…!
