Just in case I’ve confused you by mentioning the castle, this isn’t near the castle, it’s off from the main town centre!

Wherever it is, it's lovely!

Excellent Alan, the colours are very good 😊

Excellent work Alan , I’m really enjoying this series of limited pallet works .

Wonderful colours Alan, lovely work.

Nice to revisit places and sketch books Alan. this one has a soft glow to it -lovely.

Very pleasing work Alan. I really enjoyed looking at this.

You have set the painting alight with the highlights, Alan. The tonal values are lovely.

Thanks guys, very much appreciated!

Superb Alan! I love all the changes of tone and light in the arches, especially the righthand one, they add a kind of abstraction to the light and shadows. Lovely depth and overall aged look.

Great work Alan.

Superb use of marks and lines, Alan. An excellent piece, as usual!

Wow, Alan, this is great.

Your on the roll Alan 🤗 beautiful highlights once again your a super star 🌟

I like the light captured through the archway Alan. We visited Warwick Castle just over a week ago but didn’t make it into the town. I do love these old historic buildings.

Tried to comment, the page wouldn't let me, so rather than repeat myself let's just say I like it.

Love the colours and light and shade. Great job Alan

Lovely warm tones and the star - the light!

Really like your colour palette a lot Alan, and the lovely highlights.

Superb, again, Alan!

Love how you have created the light through dark archway.

Lovely darks spaces. Very good.

Worked up from my old sketch books. Warwick is such a historical place to take your sketch book, not forgetting a visit to the castle - and this interesting archway, in fact there are two of them, one smaller, was just begging to be drawn! … so I obliged! Limited palette using Liquitex acrylic ink, on an A3 size sheet of Stonehenge 250gsm Kraft paper. I’ve used a touch of white conte chalk for the highlights through the arch!
