A beautiful crisp winter painting. One of your best for my money.

Recognised your distinctive, beautiful style Alan. Can almost touch those snowy branches and feel the nip in the frosty air. Wonderful.

Beautiful crisp painting, your colours are so vibrant, love the shadows and the footpath lead's you down into the distant village 😀

Fantastic Alan you have so many strings to your bow

Beautiful light in this Alan. Lots of sunshine but you've caught a real feeling of the cold as well.

Super work Alan, should have been a winner in my opinion!

I'd love this as a card any day Alan. Better than the commercial done to death images by far.

Terrific eye-catching work Alan. Lovely.

Well it’s a winner in my book Alan, it’s fabulous! Love those foreground shadows.

This would make a great card - love the sunshine crispness and your style, Alan

Watercolour on Fabriano Rosaspina 300lb HP paper. 11 x 15in. My submission for this year’s Christmas card competition in the Leisure Painter. Not too Christmassy apart from the snow, so I never really expected to win, but I enjoyed taking part. I’ve got my other submission for The Artist to post at a later date. It will be interesting to see this year’s winning entries, I expect that they will appear in the next editions of the magazines.
