Delightful colouring Alan. In fact the more I look the more I like about it. But there is something about that Barn.

Oh wow! tremendous colours! So lovely...but I have to agree with john...there's something about that barn!!! Love the foreground. UK warmer than us at the moment then!!! And our humidity is killing my watercolours! 92% again today.

That's lovely Alan especially the splashes of red in the foreground, picking out the barn, hope it's not Murder in the Red Barn 😀😀😀

Thanks John, Thalia and Linda. That barn, well I agree it is a bit prominent, but that was my intention. The eye moves up the track and settles on it rather than running off the edge of the page. I could subdue it I suppose.

I've knocked it back a few shades, thanks John, it was a bit strong.

Love the colours, Alan.

You're so good with colours Alan. It's the colours that make this for me.

Love these outdoor scenes Alan.

Oh I just love all these colours, Alan. Beautiful.

Excellent, Alan.

Always great paintings Alan. I like the road leading up to the barn

Fabulous painting, the colour is very restful.

Gorgeous! Love the blues and those trees in the middle.

Fabulous palette. I can only dream of those colours. Can you give us your secret oil colours that you have on your palette please? Is that cheeky to ask?

Amazing colours, Alan, a wonderful peaceful view.

Nice and simple palette Alan, love it.

Oh I love all your marks and colours, Alan. You had a lovely time doing this I fancy.

What an interesting palette Alan . The sun has almost bleached it. So glad you got out and about yesterday.

That looks right now Alan. Gives the sense of atmosphic distance, and a little sense of mystery about that Red Barn. Now doubt if you had put the painting away for a week then viewed it you would have noticed it yourself. Happy painting.

Beautiful landscape Alan, such lovely colours

Wonderful colours, love the touches of red, and the lines leading to the barn.

Woohoo.....what a beauty Alan! Lovely dash of Emerald there!

What a host of lovely comments, thank you all so much.

The colours are lovely Alan. Makes a lovely painting. If I'm aloud to say! I think I would have painted the barn the same colour as the trees in this particular painting but love the red elsewhere & blues .. well blues are just my favourites.

I meant the distant trees Alan. :))

30 x 40cm oil on board. Painted yesterday in the glorious sunshine, just a few miles from my home. Nothing much going on apart from an interesting old track. The barn had to be moved into the picture and I made it appear a bit more prominent. The different coloured crops are only just showing their colours, so predominantly blue/green. This all looks like pastel shades but that's because of the hazy sunshine, that's how I saw it.
