Beautiful colours again, Alan. The reflections are special, and I love the mid-distant foliage to the left of the painting. An individual and lovely painting.

Wish I had the guts to use a palette of these colours - I'm sure I wouldn't get near this. I'll reserve the colours for my abstracts.

Watercolour on Turner Grey paper, 11 x 15''. This 16C landmark, just a few miles from my home was once visited by Mary, Queen of Scots in 1586 where she spent two weeks, shortly before her execution. I have climbed the turrets many times to view the countryside in my earlier years, now fully restored to its original glory.
