Watercolour on Turner Grey paper, 11 x 15''. This 16C landmark, just a few miles from my home was once visited by Mary, Queen of Scots in 1586 where she spent two weeks, shortly before her execution. I have climbed the turrets many times to view the countryside in my earlier years, now fully restored to its original glory.
