Love the glow of the sunset covering the entire landscape. I also admire how you achieve a softness, which permeates the painting, to achieve the quietude of snow.

Oil on board 30 x 40cm, a 4-stage winter sunset which will appear in the coming months as a WIP in the e-newsletter. Snow and sunsets don’t necessarily have to go hand-in-hand, but when they do, what an impact they make! They offer a great opportunity to exploit reflections, the crisp glistening snow reflecting the reds and oranges of the winter sun… powerful and exciting stuff! For me anyway!
