Nice work Alan works well great rainbow. Rainbows are not easy To include but this one works.

Even before I saw your name, as soon as I looked at it I thought, I love it. It's brilliant. It's full of all that atmosphere a rainbow brings and the feeling of wonder when you see one. I could look at this all day.

Excellent Alan, the rainbow works really well. Rainbows must be one of the hardest things to include in any medium, personally I think it would be even harder in oils .

Oh I like a happy rainbow 🌈. Looks abit abstract which I love. Lovely painting

Really like the rainbow, the atmosphere, the energy and the semi-abstract way of painting.

Love the looseness and energy of this painting Alan. For me it suggests more than it shows and leaves me to imagine what lies beyond.

Very very nice indeed, love that rainbow in particular

This really does fit the title impressionist Alan, it’s all down to colour and brush strokes. A difficult subject which you have understated and succeeded with. Exciting and energetic.

Beautiful - love it

The rainbow is fabulous with just a hint of colour which tones in nicely with the rest of the painting.

Wonderful Alan - just love this!

Who doesn’t love a rainbow. Always a sign that the sun is shining somewhere. Lovely and heart warming!

Eye catching, Alan!

Very nice Alan. Love the rainbow and the foreground colours. I've never painted a rainbow or even considered trying one..I feel a rainbow challenge for me but might find an excuse not to try as I imagine it's not an easy subject. You've done well here!

Ooh lovely lovely! A Turner- look about the sky Alan, love the understated natural looking rainbow.

Really expressive Alan - I keep looking and find new aspects to enjoy. Really superb.

Love all of it but especially the palette knife effect in foreground.

Superb choice of colours and so expertly painted, a stunner!

Sky study with rainbow, which is not something I often include in my paintings. I did have several attempts at it, before finally settling on this low key version, courtesy of looking at Turner’s ‘very understated’ approach to painting rainbows. Oil on board 40 x 50cm
