Glad you jumped straight back in and with a good one!

Lovely paint application John, and well constructed architecture!

Not sure why, but I really like this painting. You have made a potentially uninteresting subject interesting.

A great painting to start the year off it’s beautifully painted John.

For me this is one of your best paintings of buildings John. The whole thing really works well with a great sense of place.

Excellent painting John

Wow, fabulous comments from Heather, Coral, Alan, William (is it our job as artists to show beauty in the seemingly mundane?), Dixie, Valerie, Andrew, David (I'm delighted with this comment) and George!!! so many of you are regular commentators and I'm so grateful that you make the time to tell me how my work makes you feel.... thanks you all.

I love the jauntiness of your style John. A lovely painting, especially that foreground wall.

“Jauntiness”!!! I’m loving that Carole 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Good, strongly toned work John.

Many thanks Stephen, glad you like it 😊

Keep jumping John I just love your neutral range……brill!

Had a booth at Aberdeen's Gas and Oil exhibition years ago, and stayed a week at a cottage in Stonehaven. Lovely place and an artists dream site. Nice work and thanks for the memory.

Love this, fab colours too 🙂

Lovely painting

Thank you so much Fiona, Jim, Sandra, Spencer, Petra and Romila. I'm delighted to get such positivity from you - thank you very much :)

Great style, love the vibrancy!

That’s very kind of you Carole 🙏🏼

An interesting painting with gentle, restful colours. It's very easy on the eye, and I love the way you've applied the paint.

You wouldn't have thought that this would necessarily make a good subject, it's the sort of scene you could pass by every day and not give a second look or thought. But you prove that even the least prepossessing site can provide a good painting: and actually the more you look at sites and places you would just pass by - the more you can see in them.
