Thanks Alan.
Again thanks Alan. Hopefully Dawn will be able to sort this.  My 5pm email yesterday listed 80 items which I “may have missed” going back five days or so, as I’m unable to click on the message bubble at the bottom of the page. I’m thoroughly cheesed off with this and it has stopped me commenting on posts I would otherwise have done so on. For whatever reason the ads don’t appear on my iPhone but the screen is too small to view artwork on, so I am using an iPad which is all I have otherwise. Grrrr...
Tessa I’m using my iPad and have not had the adds for the past three days, don’t know why as I have changed nothing. Mind you I happy not to have them if  they are disruptive,  mind you don’t mind if they are benefiting the site , but certainly not in the way of controls etc.
I think I’ve something for the iPad. If you request a “Mobile Website”, the ad disappears from over the menu bar. You can do this by accessing the site - in the address bar you’ll an “AA” symbol at he left of the website address. Clicking the and “Request Mobile Website” seems to uncover the site menu bar on most of the pages.

Brilliant Paul!  Now I can use my iPad again.  I was on the verge of giving up on this site. Thank You

Thank you Paul. I clicked on the AA, then Desktop as Mobile was not an option.  It worked!
No problem Alan and Linda. The clue was in people weren’t having problems on iPhones.

Thanks Paul in particular. What you suggested appeared to  work but only very briefly, so I fiddled about and found I had to go into settings and turn off ‘request desktop website’ which now appears to have worked, so fingers crossed!  😊
Great stuff Tessa. I’ve checked and that wasn’t turned on my iPad.
I don't work on an ipad and ads still there I'm afraid - please pol remove and place elsewhere.
I agree with Heather, the pop ups are irritating to say the least.
