It is good to hear that there is some kind of fix coming for viewing on devices where the pop-up blocks the menu, but, disappointingly, moving the menu suggests the distracting, and clearly unpopular, pop up box is here to stay.  Such a pity that when you click on an image in the gallery, for a better look, quite often you can't see the whole painting because of the wretched advert box.  I can't imagine any website designer, worth his or her salt, would knowingly design a web page, for viewing art work, that deliberately masked part of the image.  If they did, I doubt their customer would be willing to pay for it.
Fantastic - I’ve seen and ad on the page for a moving company - in New Zealand! A lot of these ads don’t seem to be very appropriate to the site or the users.
Thank for moving the menu to the top of the page.  It is more inkeepingwthe the layout for pc’s / laptops.  I can see these problems are difficult, when the layout is different on different computers.
Mark, yes, I know that - see my point above!  As I said "When you click on an image (or indeed answering a Forum comment)to comment the ads at the bottom appear so to add your comment you have to scroll the ad down to enter your comments in the requisite box. "      But you never used to have to do this so it's now extra effort to make comments or write on the forum etc and is just very irritating indeed.  Please can you do something about the placement.
I've just cut a piece of plain white card of a size to just cover these infuriating pop up ads. It still covers the bottom edge of the gallery and the forum but at least it's stationary and not brightly colourful so the ads are not distracting and I can still read the bottom of the pages by scrolling. I should add that this is on a lap top.

The ad placements are under review - please bear with us!
Apart from the placement of the ads, other sites that also use this supplier seem to present more applicable adverts. Perhaps they take a bit of time to catch with users interests and preferences.
When I was trying to get rid of them previously I clicked on a few and you come up with ‘why this ad?’ and it said that it’s decided on the time of day and your location. I assume it’s also affected by your cookie settings etc.
Adverts are so annoying at the moment, I have a narrow band of which to view paintings on the gallery, so apologies to all my painter friends who I normally comment on. I will be staying away for the moment till it gets sorted, Have a good Christmas and best wishes for a better New Year, Linda
I really should not say anything , tempting fate etc  I don’t know what’s happening but I have had no adverts for the past three day. I’m on iPad I cannot remember resetting anything, I was just ignoring them as they were not in my way hopefully it will be sorted out for everyone soon. It’s quite sad when you feel that you cannot use the site or join in , those who are experiencing problems have my sympathy, it must be ruddy frustrating.
In response to Tessa’s comment, re time and location.  I live near a hospital and often go to my lap top if I cannot sleep, so I get lots of ads for Petrie dishes and Asian Beauties!
Are you serious Linda!? I dread to think what the Asian beauties are like?
