Like the colours in your building Dixie, and I agree with Katy, cracked glass is great.  Very delicate egret, Katy - they are such beautiful birds.  Here is yesterday's late(ish) night sketch based on one of my photos of Borders hills.  A5.
Like this Margaret, wet in wet, very apt at the moment! Mine is a little sketch of the witch hazel in the front garden. It’s always annoyed me that the dead leaves hang on and obliterate the lovely yellow flowers so I decided to appreciate it instead!
Love those colours, Katy, and the light wash.   Here is last night's sketch - fountain pen and watercolour.
Like the Borders watercolour sketch, very understated but effective.  You have the colour on the witch hazel just right Katy, does this shrub have a fragrance? Mine is this weeks art class offering on cross hatching and optical mixing using coloured pencils.
Nicely done peppers, Hilary.   I haven't used ordinary (non water soluble) coloured pencils for many years - always amazed by what people can do with them.   Here is one of today's - very early morning sketch out one of our windows.
I am loving everyone's sketches, I do look everyday. The variety is splendid. I did a sketch yesterday, it's an under painting for another glaze. I enjoyed doing the pear so much, I'm waiting for this to dry to do it all over again.
It would be great to see another WIP on this Denise
Lovely start Denise.
Thanks Hilary and Margaret. Hilary, I could put it as a continuation on the braving glazing post. Once I get started I'll post pictures every couple of days if you would like to watch the progress. I've put a few more objects in this one so I'll have to think about colours I use.
Darkest hour.
Definitely Boris.. very accomplished .
Such a variety of work and all well done. A figure sketch from me , this was a test out for a painting I’m working on at the moment.
