Margaret, it was Gillian who did the great dog eye. It's very easy to make a mistake because it's difficult keeping up some days with so many things coming on. Linda, that is a lovely new photo you have put up also. Tessa I hope you are recovering well and your sketches are great, I especially like the one with the pen in your mouth. Paul, I like your apple core and would love to see the pottery version. I really like the cooker hood Margaret. I have gone back to doing faces tonight and I can tell you, the first two I did, I frightened myself they were so poor. I dare not even post them. I persevered and did another one and then I tried to do one from an image. It certainly made me realize that, you can't just pick up were you left off, when you have left practicing something for longer than you should. I now know, I need to make it a regular practice to continue to improve.
Nice to see your portrait work Denise, and you are correct in say how no practice cause us to slip back in our skill. I have a great passion for the British countryside and all it’s good and bad bits. We often forget and take for granted the work that is done to keep it looking like it does. Farmers often get bad press but without the work they do the countryside would look awful, I love old fashioned farms the sort that were around the the 1950. I’m doing a series of paintings on this theme and lots of sketches to give me ideas . This is one of an old farming estate  now run down .

Quite a lot going on last day or two, Tessa, love the ‘selfies’ especially the second one. Really interested in the pottery apple core, what a great thing to make! Margaret, a cooker job, that really is original! Denise, the portraits are great, keep practicing. Love the old farm house Paul. I have very old photo of Longdown Farm in Bucks, used to be in Dad’s family, and intend to tackle that one day. Mine is a sketch of hubby fishing (and walking on water🤣) from a photo taken in the Shetland Isles three years ago
A lovely variety, faces, building and fishermen.   Day 21 - though this is the view out of the window, this sketch was done from a photo as it was in the evening and dark.

Katy is the Longsdown farm you mentioned near Princes Risborough . If so by coincidence I work in the woodland that nearby.
Yes Paul, it is. It was farmed by my great aunt and uncle Langston until they retired, probably early 1950’s. I’ve never been there but it’s on my bucket list!
Next time in over there when we return to work I will see if I can get some photos for you.
More great sketches. I do like the walking on water and fisherman, the farm estate buildings Dixie. I worked for a few years in a converted farm dairy building with an open sided barn like that, which we used to park our cars under! Margaret, super tonal sketch , you have some great skyline views from your home! Thanks for the good wishes friends, my daughter actually organised a Covid postal test for me which thankfully was negative! Feeling much better now.  I did this pencil and crayon sketch from a photo taken on a recent walk of a roadside tree which had its roots exposed, good tonal contrasts underneath which attracted me.

Some lovely work Katy, Margaret and Tessa, quite a variety as well. Another old farm scene from me, I do like the old building etc.pp
Thanks Paul, love to see them. When I come across the old photo of the farm I’ll post it on here.
Love that tree trunk Tessa, and a nice farm scene Dixie, I particularly like that pig.  Here is last night's effort - irritatingly it is side on!

Someone had asked me to paint a pic of their Oscar.    So I’m sussing our profiles .  Don’t know Oscar so it’s not easy.  Might do some more sketches might jump right in there.   Confined to house anyhow with quite a lot of snow.
