Like the cave, Gillian, what a shame it’s derelict! Great sketch, Tessa, I can just see the little dog bouncing along looking at something it would chase if it was off the lead. Like the fruit, Hilary, I think we are thinking alike. Now mine is not telepathy, Tessa, but a cheat. Your dog walker reminded me of a sketch I did earlier from my imagination, and before social distancing was a ‘thing’!

Great to see this still going strong, and what a splendid variety of subject matter. Katy's dog picture reminds me of a time when two walkers with their dogs on very long leads managed to get their leads tied in a knot (a bowline on a bunt, I think). They were having a good laugh about it. I meant to do a picture about it, but never got round to it.

Some really outstanding work done over the last few days. Sorry I’ve been absent, struggle to do anything at the moment. Made myself sit down and do this quick watercolour sketch of ships in the desert. They were left high and dry in what was the inland Aral Sea , in the 1960s the former USSR started extracting water for industry by 2000 the sea had almost dried up. Tried to leave it a bit fuzzy the reflections the heat haze. The other is a basic sketch for a painting I hope to complete, doing boats as they are my favourite subject.

Lovely flower Gillian, have you found out what is is? Love the charcoal moth, Hilary, really well done. We get a lot of red kites where we live too, I watched one swoop down in front of me and pick up what I thought was a fish in a pond, it dropped it in disgust as it was a shiny crisp bag!🙁 Stephen, thats a great house and stone wall sketch. Paul, the camels really give scale to the ships, giving them much needed shade I imagine. Mine is a watercolour of some onions and a carrot.
