A refreshing use of watercolour Earl, I like you style of painting very much. Clean and expressive.

Driving across the Nullarbor at the southernmost part of the Australian continent is one of the great drives to experience. On one stretch the road moves towards the horizon in a straight line for 146 kilometres! At times the land drops dramatically straight down into the Southern Ocean ... a definite edge to the continent. The scene I have painted here is in contrast with that, with its sloping cliffs and white sand beaches. Painting this scene required me to accept the starkness and yet, through rhythmic, simple brush marks, create interest in the subject. Arches Not paper was used.
