27 April to 11 May 2008 - Solo exhibition of Pamela Kay’s recent oil painting and watercolours at The Catto Gallery, Hampstead

The Catto Gallery is hosting a solo exhibition of recent paintings by Pamela Kay, one of British foremost still-life artists from 27th April until 11th May, 2008. There will be a collection of 50 of Pamela’s most recent works in both oil and watercolour, including her renowned floral still-life studies, together with her atmospheric observations of Venice, Florence and the great English garden at Sissinghurst Castle. Prices start at £750. This is an ideal opportunity to see the breadth of work of this talented artist and either add to or begin your own collection of her work.

14 April to 17 October 2008 - Special Woods Art Competition

Are you inspired by the woods of the Chilterns? If so, why not enter this free competition? After the succes of last year's event, which attracted 15000 visitors, the Special Trees and Woods Project, in partnership with the Chilterns Conservation Board, is hosting an art competition open to all those that are inspired by the woods of the Chilterns. Two awards, The Judges’ Award and The People’s Award, will be presented and selected artwork will be exhibited in two venues. Special Trees and Woods Project volunteer Joan Skelton Smith is curating the exhibitions. She said “The Chilterns landscape has proved inspirational to many artists over the years including Eric Gill, John Piper and Paul Nash. We know that the woods continue to inspire and I am really looking forward to seeing what entries we receive. I know that we will get artwork of every different medium and size, which will create a really exciting exhibition.”

The Exhibition will take place in St Thomas Aquinas Church Hall on Ham Common in the Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames. Around 70 framed paintings, at prices ranging from about £25 to £150, will be for sale as well as numerous unframed works. The Church is in a lovely setting, close to a pond full of bird-life, at the junction of Ham Common and Ham Street. The 65 and 371 buses run nearby and can be boarded at both Richmond and Kingston

The exhibition runs daily (10:30 am to 3.45 pm) from Friday 2 May until Sunday 18 May 2008. The Art Gallery is on the first floor of the Peacock Tea Rooms (lift available).

The Catto Gallery is hosting a solo exhibition of recent paintings by Pamela Kay, one of British foremost still-life artists from 27th April until 11th May, 2008. There will be a collection of 50 of Pamela’s most recent works in both oil and watercolour, including her renowned floral still-life studies, together with her atmospheric observations of Venice, Florence and the great English garden at Sissinghurst Castle. Are you inspired by the woods of the Chilterns? If so, why not enter this free competition? After the succes of last year's event, which attracted 15000 visitors, the Special Trees and Woods Project, in partnership with the Chilterns Conservation Board, is hosting an art competition open to all those that are inspired by the woods of the Chilterns. Two awards, The Judges’ Award and The People’s Award, will be presented and selected artwork will be exhibited in two venues. Special Trees and Woods Project volunteer Joan Skelton Smith is curating the exhibitions. She said “The Chilterns landscape has proved inspirational to many artists over the years including Eric Gill, John Piper and Paul Nash. We know that the woods continue to inspire and I am really looking forward to seeing what entries we receive. I know that we will get artwork of every different medium and size, which will create a really exciting exhibition.”

After the succes of last year's event, which attracted 15000 visitors, the Special Trees and Woods Project, in partnership with the Chilterns Conservation Board, is hosting an art competition open to all those that are inspired by the woods of the Chilterns. Two awards, The Judges’ Award and The People’s Award, will be presented and selected artwork will be exhibited in two venues. Special Trees and Woods Project volunteer Joan Skelton Smith is curating the exhibitions. She said “The Chilterns landscape has proved inspirational to many artists over the years including Eric Gill, John Piper and Paul Nash. We know that the woods continue to inspire and I am really looking forward to seeing what entries we receive. I know that we will get artwork of every different medium and size, which will create a really exciting exhibition.”

An exhibition of paintings by Melanie Cambridge, Fiona Hooper and Julie Curry at the Honeywood Heritage Centre, Carshalton, Surrey. Exhibition open: Sat & Sun 10am-5,pm Wed-Fri 11am-5pm. The Heritage Centre hosts a Lavender and Herb weekend on 10th & 11th May, when the artists will be giving free demonstrations and children's flower painting workshops. 14 April to 17 October 2008 - Special Woods Art Competition

Are you inspired by the woods of the Chilterns? If so, why not enter this free competition? After the succes of last year's event, which attracted 15000 visitors, the Special Trees and Woods Project, in partnership with the Chilterns Conservation Board, is hosting an art competition open to all those that are inspired by the woods of the Chilterns. Two awards, The Judges’ Award and The People’s Award, will be presented and selected artwork will be exhibited in two venues. Special Trees and Woods Project volunteer Joan Skelton Smith is curating the exhibitions. She said “The Chilterns landscape has proved inspirational to many artists over the years including Eric Gill, John Piper and Paul Nash. We know that the woods continue to inspire and I am really looking forward to seeing what entries we receive. I know that we will get artwork of every different medium and size, which will create a really exciting exhibition.”

There are permanent displays of Diane's most recent, atmospheric original watercolours, as well as the full range of her limited edition prints and greetings cards. The gallery shows the work of other invited professional artists, and exciting displays of pottery, sculptures and carvings. Strong emphasis is placed on giving each artist an uncluttered exhibition area allowing the public a true view of the work, without distraction. In addition the gallery holds small, two monthly, `Spotlight on' exhibitions featuring guest artists work Keswick is an attractive market town located amongst some of the most beautiful scenery in Britain. The gallery is in a quiet side street, opposite the cinema, just two minutes from the main car parks, and is well signposted.
