The Lady's Horse
This image was painted from a photo. I think what originally attracted me was the grace and assurance of both rider and horse. The second thing to catch my attention was the rider’s dress – red with white polka-dots that seemed to create a very striking, almost ethereal, image. The horse, it seems to me, is quite a competent fellow in what he or she was being asked to do.
