Is this the magnificent Lime tree avenue at Clumber park Martin? It looks familiar because of the double planting. You have caught the knobbly growths and characterful shape perfectly, along with their mossy/lichen mantle of green.

Sketched in ink from the car on a chilly day last December and added colour with inktense pencils in studio. I am always attracted to these fantastic rows of trees and the metallic greens on the trunks particularly interested me this time.
