Excellent work I love the textures of the oak tree.

Like a sculpture that you carved out of the paint.

Thanks Heather David Dixie Spencer and John. Really appreciate your comments. I did use modelling gels for the oak tree John

A real feast of wonderful shapes Martin.

Thanks very Maureen and Carole

I love the textures you've used. Perfect for ancient and gnarly tree bark.

Sorry Bobbie. Predictive text or my clumsy fingers

This will be the left panel of a triptych for a project at Lindholme Hall based on the colours of the rainbow. I was asked to use yellow. I love the fact that the ancient oaks here have been left to do their own thing and the resulting shapes of the wild convoluted branches are a delight. Fallen branches are left and bleach in the sun. The supporting cast of silver birches grow in profusion in the surrounding wetlands. Acrylic on canvas A2 size
