The silent weep by Tony Compton
A sad subject for art but it can’t always be cheerful, it is for exploring. I took the inspiration for this piece from a low moment in life with someone i know who i observed sat in a darkened room weeping and was at her lowest moment. The moonlight through the window lit up her face and this image stuck with me. As i like to create nostalgia i put together some pencil sketches and created a young victorian girl experiencing the same emotions, simple but it captured the mood i was after.
