I think I'm right and had to get my guess in quickly before Debs that is, in case there's a prize. I'd like four tubes of red or blue paint please as I have little luck else where!! LOL

Yes, it is our UKIP champion, Nick - although I can see where Debs was coming from witth Prince Andrew. Nick F does have the most brilliant range of facial expressions, so drawing him give one a real giggle. I was a bit mean to show his teeth as a bit yellow (but actually they are -shhh!).

I think you are getting mixed up Thea although it's easy to see why, all the political leaders seem to merge into one nowadays - it's Nigel Farage and/or Nick Clegg!! you should do Prince Andrew the teeth are just right!!lol

Thank you Fiona and Debs - really kind of you. Yes, Fiona, I noticed that when I was drawing him - he pulls his chin back when he laughs - strange looking man actually. Debs, perhaps I have posted so many that you are all getting punch drunk! When you actually draw the different faces, you begin to realise how similar some people's bone structure is to another persons. Nick F and Prince Andrew for instance - who'd have thought it (has the Queen something she would like to tell us perhaps, lol!). I never get a perfect likeness and to be honest, that isn't the aim with these one liners, so guessing can be a challenge for the viewer. As long as they capture a bit of the essence of the person, I am happy, but I accept that sometimes I am the only person who can see it.

It was that angle of his head when laughing that gave it away for me. You've got it exactly!

Hi Thea, I have just seen this painting challenge, connected to the BBC painting programme starting this Sunday. The brief is to paint your local newsreader, and you have to send in the actual painting. Deadline is very soon March 2, and prizes very very modest, there is even a chace you probably won't get it back (am I selling this well?). Andrea, what a lovely compliment and such a kind thought. Under normal circumstances, I would have loved to have a go. However, the thing is that I haven't picked up a pen or paintbrush since the 9 Feb when my brother was found dead in his bed. The shock has been tremendous and I have been unable to settle to anything normal. There have had to be all sorts of formalities as he lived alone and it was an unexplained death so the funeral has had to be delayed and is on 2 March. Until that is over, I can't really start trying to get back to normal life. Sorry to drop this news on you, but just wanted to explain why I can't take up your suggestion. I do appreciate you thinking that anything I do would be worthy of such a competition - so very kind of you and I really appreciate it.
