The Kite Flyer (Cornwall)

Excellent painting Tessa looks very windy .

This is another great paiting Tessa! Love the colours and handling of the rocks - so easy to make rocks look too round but yours are fabulous.

Thanks so much Dixie and Guy. I started with the big rocky boulders and did want them to stand out and command the painting.

Lovely painting - I really love the textures.

A lovely spacious feel to y This Tessa. A beach I would like to walk on ,and fly a kite.

Many thanks Gary and Sylvia. Yes I’d love to be there too, could be any beach really, I just had Cornwall in my mind. 😀

I like this a lot Tessa. Those rocks are so powerful and set the scene perfectly.

Lovely fresh feeling.

A great painting Tessa. You can sense the wind. With your textures there is also a link to a Van Gogh style. Brilliant!

A lovely painting Yessa.

Sorry, Tessa, finger slipped.

Love how the figure indicates a bit of a breeze and the dominance of the foreground rocks Tessa. A lovely painting.

Thank you so much for your comments and encouragement Heather, Valerie, Spencer, Denise x2, and Carole! Always value your kind words and views. x

Good impasto work Tessa, excellent seascape…the figure helps the composition but looks a bit big perhaps…

Thank you Alan. I wasn’t sure about the size- you are probably right!

Cheers Michael!

Full of great atmosphere, smashing, Tessa!

I love the texture in this

Thanks so much Thalia, Coral and Helen. x

I felt it needed a little something extra as a focal point, hence the person with a kite.
