Super pastel work Terence

This was painted as an exercise and is on Sennelier pastel paper, it is a pale coloured base which is a change from the dark base I usually employ. As with all pastel on paper paintings it suffers from inability to hold multiple layers. The picture it was based on was a photo taken of an orchestral concert on the television. It was very difficult with all the parallel lines which needed to be right and the angle of the ellipses at the mouths of the trombones' bells. I wouldn't say it's perfect but it was an interesting challenge and well outside my comfort zone!
