I think this is really effective too, full of movement.

Thanks for both of your kind comments, I must say that the result would justify my trying a similar technique again.

This was my second attempt at palette knife painting, as before mainly Winsor's paints but using a primed piece of mountboard as the support. This was done at a Margaret Allton workshop where she asked us to mix some paint and just drag it down the board from top to bottom. then work in other colours to provide a semi abstract work. Being very literal minded, mine turned out a bit more representational than some others at the workshop. Again I am amazed at how pleasant it looks after the total mess that it started as!
