"I have attitude"

Wow - I just love this Sharon, you have captured the expression on his face just right.

He most certainly has - saw a film some time ago of a very cross Ostrich chasing after a truck with a cameraman on board: he caught up with it, to the cameraman's obvious concern, and gave it a good bash with his beak. Great birds, I like that attitude.... A very effective painting, concentrating on the essentials: and always good to see a watercolour where the emphasis is more on the colour than the water.

Many thanks - I loved doing this one, and it just flowed - no drawing, just paint. I had already done two others which hadn't worked as I was being too careful with being correct - and painting too fast ( sounds contradictory, but thinking before sloshing paint on and then waiting to see what happens ,actually works! How many times have I been told to do that!!) Anyway, this one just seemed to do what it should.

Whow I love this Ostrich, being an egg decorator also I have used many ostrich eggs for decoration and won quite a lot of competitions, I would love to have a go at painting this for my pleasure.

Just seen this. He is just super....or she.!.

Eyes and beak with the minimum of hair, that's all you needed here to paint this Ostrich, and love how you painted with washes as well and no initial drawing, it wasn't needed here, so we have exactly what was needed and perfection at that!
