Wonderful work again, perfect . Brilliant portfolios

I was going to say the same as Charles but he beat me to it. Really!

I love the little bit of history you provide with these paintings of yours Seok, a lovely bonus to your wonderful watercolours. Thank you for your comments on my latest attempt at coloured pencils, your observations are both welcome and appreciated.

Lovely portfolio Seok. I like the way you've handled the pavillion - clear shapes with little bits of detail here and there. Thanks also for your nice comments on my "Tulips" oil painting.

I like this alot Seok , the plain buildings in the background and the bright colours in the front . Beautiful work.

I have been away for a while Seok , I must have missed lots of great paintings but I'm glad I caught this little beauty. your hallmark of quality drawing and lovely muted colours radiates from it,

Thank you so very much, Carole, Jane, Mia, Joy and William! You are all very kind. Carole, if you are interested, the stone color is achieved by running various oranges, browns and purple into each other, specifically: (1) permanent red and Indian yellow, (2) burnt sienna and (3) cobalt blue and violet. For the very dark shadowed parts, I used sepia and burnt sienna and sometimes sepia and Prussian blue. Hope that helps.

A lovely piece of work again Seok! I love the way you explain the history of the places, it makes the painting so much more interesting. You are so good at drawing buildings and figures and the colours are just so soft and beautiful. Best regards from me, Satu.

The colourful figures look wonderful against the stone of the buildings. They also help the viewer to see the scale of these wonderful structures. Super painting and another great addition to your travel portfolio.

(Pavilion in the City of Fatehpur Sikri, India. Situated near Agra in North India, the city of Fatehpur Sikri was built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar. The construction started in 1570 and lasted for 15 years. It was built to commemorate the birth of Akbar's heir, Prince Salim, who later ruled India as the Emperor Jehangir. Jehangir was the father of the Emperor Shah Jahan, who built the fabled Taj Mahal. The city was abandoned after only 14 years, because of the poor water supply. Today, Fatehpur Sikri is a ghost town, and functions only as a tourist destination.)
