Beautiful, Seok Yam - such wonderful colours and you've really captured the Egyptian characters here, both of them! Did you manage to avoid having to pay for taking a photo? I've been going to Egypt for nearly 40 years (husband is from Cairo) and many years ago they didn't charge for a photo...but times are tough there now...

Stunning watercolour Seok, the camel is so well painted

Three lovely watercolours here Seok. Now I'm even greener than Petra's chrysanthemum! I especially like the warm colours on this one and the detail on the camel's saddle/ cover is wonderful. I wonder what size these lovely paintings are? Well done, you have an amazing collection of works and all so interesting to view! Also, should we call you Seok or Seok Yam?

Wonderful painting of this couple, the material on the camel's 'saddle' is beautifully painted.

Seok,-- I might be able to paint greens {I am getting better } ---But to paint this much detail at this quality ----- no chance

This is a wonderful study in watercolour of camel and figure Seok Yam, and is beattifully painted once again

I've just been looking at your gallery Seok - what magnificent watercolours! You are very talented.

Beautifully painted as always Seok.

Just love that camel!

I can only agree with all that's been said. Just super.

Lovely quality of work, well done.

A beautiful painting. It reminds me of my visit to Egypt a number of years ago. Wonderful colours.

I can't add anything that's not been said before. just beautiful.

Terrific painting again Seok, and I still go back to look at Pirate Ships of the desert! You would make a fortune if you sold these as postcards beside the camels at Giza.

Stunning, love the detail.

Great colourful detailed painting.

Thank you so very much, everyone! Jane, I managed to avoid paying for the photo by snapping this with my telephoto lens! The lawyer in me balks at paying for something in respect of which the fella had no legal right to demand payment! Louise, the paintings are all done on hot pressed Arches 140 lb watercolor block, 12 1/8" x 16 1/8". And most of my friends call me Seok.

What a wonderful vignette of life in Eygpt. I spent part of my childhood there and this takes me back to the sights I saw. As always this is painted with meticulous care and beautiful colours and is a great composition.

Well done and well deserved ! Number one in the Top Ten !

Wow, thanks very much Avril! Must say I feel a bit undeserving when I see the other works on the list. They are all super. And thank you again to all who left such kind comments on this piece!

Great to see the 'usual suspects'in the top ten again and really well deserved, a lovely painting Seok, I have three paintings on the go but I had a fall and now have a disc pressing on a nerve making it impossible to sit or stand for long so I don't know when I'll be posting again, Congratulations Seok

Very well done Seok, you truly deserve the top position, it is a wonderful watercolour

Congratulations Seok Yam on your top ten position, a lovely piece.

Well done, Seok, for being top of the leader board for September. Well deserved accolade.

Thank you so very much, Avril, William, Petra, Lesley and Thea, for your very kind encouragement! William, I'm so sorry to hear about your injury. I hope you have a speedy recovery and will be back at your easel soon.

(One of the many camels plying the desert trails near the Pyramids of Giza, Egypt. They are hired out to tourists looking to experience their first camel ride - a veritable tourist trap).
