Another of your charming snapshots on life in other countries. You have a real talent for spotting what will make an interesting and good painting and then you use your customary skill to bring the scene to life. Lovely!

Just one of many metalworkers in the souk, Seok Yam, and beautifully captured in your recognisable style. Did you spend a long time in Egypt?

A nice composed and rendered watercolour Seok Yam which I like along with others in your galley.

Seok darling ,-- there is no words to describe this work so i will have to say --amazing--so skilfully done.--- If only I could produce work of this quality, I would then be able to say that I was was a real painter------- The style you have, well. it just blows me away

Seok this is a lovely painting. I have just had a look through your gallery and you have some beautiful work - well done to you.

Beautifully depicted.

Thank you very much everyone! I am always so encouraged by the very kind comments of a group of artists who possess such incredible talent and creativity. I've been on a short course and have just returned. It's good to be back and I'm slowly catching up on all the postings that I've missed, so please pardon my backlog of comments on your works. Jane, many thanks for filling in the gap here for me. I was in the souk for a couple of hours and took a photo of this man hard at work, but for the life of me, I had no idea what he was doing! In answer to your question, I am a fake Egyptophile, who visited Egypt for a couple of weeks last year and ended up with a ton of photos from which to paint! It's a fascinating country.

A charming painting. I like the way you have paintewd the worker in quite a detailed way and kept the plates etc "loose".

Nice one Seok, love the fading edges of the picture!

Thanks Seok for all the complimentary comments that you gave me today! I had noticed that you hadn't been around for a while but I needn't have worried as you've just posted this one. As always, it's a lovely, well observed painting.

Seok Yam - thanks for your comment on the felucca. These metalworkers hammer the intricate designs onto the brass trays and dishes. Interesting that you were there last winter - we were in Luxor at the same time; we go every year but skipped Cairo this time because of the situation.

A pleasure to see your postings again. A lovely scene with just the essential. Thanks for your generous comment on my "seedhead"!

Beautifully composed and painted. I always learn such a lot from studying your watercolours so thank you.

Many many thanks, everyone! I really appreciate all your very generous comments. You do wonders for my ego!

Hi Seok it's great that you are back. Just seen these the last two beautifully painted postings I cannot add any more than what has already been said. They are what true watercolours should be.

Thanks so very much, Joy!

I missed this one, Seok, but I agree 100% with all the above comments: this is of your usual high standard (I hope this is correct English, but you know what I mean!).
