Beautiful, pearlescent greys - subtle light effects - tells a story - I fear I don't buy paintings, having all too many of my own, but if I did it's this subdued yet shimmering palette that would sell it to me. Oh, and don't listen to people who tell you your blogs are too long - I say that knowing it could have been me, or a recently deceased old friend of this site: but I like a long read if it's interesting!

Fabulously subtle palette and beautiful light, Michael. The linear and aerial perspective are excellent, but the stars of the show are the foreground boats. Superb! The reflected light's not too shabby, either. Bri

As a total lover of boat and ship paintings, love this Michael. You've shown the essence of it all and caught the near and far perfectly. Lovely work.
