The Road Through Sporle

It’s a lovely landscape painting Michael and the bright red dress brings so much to to the scene. You have handle all that green so well.

Fabulous small painting, smashing use of greens

Lovely fresh work, good variety of greens and the red figure gives a focus.

Love the fluidity of the foliage and the lovely, fresh feel this has Michael.

What a great painting! Love the different shades of green which you have used!

My delighted thanks to you all for such enthusiastic comments. Landscape is not something I visit very often. Many of you have commented on my use of greens. My base green is always viridian and I modify this with a variety of other pigments Ultramarine blue, yellow ochre, raw umber and paynes grey plus white of course. Hope that is of some use.
