Michael Daley

Biography

Before leaving the RAF in the early 90s I studied, part time, Fine Art and Graphic Design at Falmouth College of Art and Design. On leaving the Air Force I worked for 17 years at Holkham Hall until retirement in 2010. I worked as a volunteer caseworker for ssafa ( Forces Charity) for almost 5 years, until Dec 16. Finally, since retirement I have been able to concentrate on painting full time. I specialise in Marine and Aviation art currently but also enjoy the challenge of Wild Life work. I am an Associate Member of the Guild of Aviation Artists and have been lucky enough to have work accepted for the Annual Exhibition in Mall Galleries for the past 9 years. I am the Chairman of the East Anglian Group of Marine Artists. Although I work predominantly in acrylic I enjoy returning to oils from time to time, mostly when painting marine subjects. The response to the work I have posted on this site has been incredibly encouraging. I am very grateful to everyone who took the time to add a comment. This includes the comment that my original Biog was too long and sent the reader to sleep - sorry about that. I guess it was the opposite of writers block.
