You got there before me. At least you have eyes. I was completely lost.

Wouldn't have recognised you Satu! You looked surprised to be here! It's a fun challenge and has brought out the Picasso in us.

Gudrun says you have eyes and like her, they are a little lost..LOL.. Seriously though, I love this one for it's expression and feeling of intense concentration. Have we hit on a new 'loose' working method thanks to Thea?!!

You're right Louise, I'm already thinking of trying to do something similar with a Xmas card. It's the unexpected which is so appealing with this kind of experiment.

But it worked - even down to the large earrings or is it an elastic glasses strap or whatever you call them?

Well done Satu! You managed to put an awful lot into your sketch!

The eyes are brilliant - that sideways look is super. To me, this again looks like work from an artist who has a vision of the human face and who is thinking outside the box. I bet we could all frame our portraits and pass them off as visionary work and sell them for good money!

wow! I love this!

Thank you all very much for your comments! Michael, it's the string for my glasses but there is an earring too. Forgot the other one. It's been wonderful to see so many of us taking part!! Thank you Thea for starting the challenge!!

Only just seen this thread, but I'm enjoying catching up with old faces - remember the self portraits we didi last year? I think this has to be my favourite I just love the lines of your glasses, eyes and earrings merging into one!

Thank you very much Debs! I loved the snail trail last year and this a bit like it. It's your turn now!

Well.. This is pretty awful and the challenge much harder than I thought. I started with the left eye as Thea did but got lost straight away. Watercolour added later. Good fun!
