I was watching some film of Mountain lions in the snow, and as I hadn't done any animals for a while, I thought I'd do a painting for a card to send to someone on greeting card supplied by Ken Bromley. As the Cougar colouring is a variety of Browns, the colours used were : Buff titanium (Daniel Smith), Naples yellow, Yellow ochre, Raw Sienna, Burnt sienna, Raw and Burnt umber, Warm sepia, Ultramarine, Permanent rose and a tiny bit of Titanium white gouache (mostly W&N and Schminke artists watercolours). Brushes were 1/2", 1/4" and No 4 ProArte Connoisseur sable mix brushes, and a W&N series 7 No 3 Sable....for those who are interested!
