River scene (Watercolour on Arches NOT appprox 12.5"x 8.5")
I entered this scene from Paul Talbot-Greaves challenge 5. But I overdid the number of words , and the end of the text was dropped off. Originally, the sky was plain, but while taking the photo of the finished painting, a small garden bird used the painting for target practice! After chastising myself, as I had a feeling it could happen, I rushed inside, scraped off the tiny dropping with a palette knife, and converted the mark into a cloud. I then added extra clouds to the sky. I'm not sure which I preferred, but it turned a disaster into something acceptable. Let me know what you think.
