I am not usually a fan of abstract work but this one does appeal to me. I get the feelog plants, leaves and flowers.

I agree with Tony, it has a feel of the outdoors, the garden etc.

I like it and agree it certainly has the looking into a lot of foliage with flowers. Welcome back to POL Ruth I know you haven’t posted for quite some time .

Thank you for your welcome back, Paul. No, I haven't posted for some years, since a bad traffic accident floored me (literally !) and am having to adapt my methods, but I am enjoying it once more. I am exploring using a palette knife and it is such a different feeling, much freer. I would love to be able to stand and work much bigger, but there is no way I can do that. However, I am exploring colour again and enjoying it after being down in the dumps for so long!

Thank you so much, Tessa and Tony.

Welcome back, Ruth - so sorry to hear about your accident.

Thank you Robert.

It’s like looking deep in to a hedgerow with lots of wildflowers in amongst the grasses. It’s lovely to see you posing again Ruth, I enjoyed seeing your negative painting work.

Sorry Ruth, that should read “posting” 😂

Gorgeous, can see plants and flowers. You have a terrific gallery too, I've been checking it out after reading your post on the forum. Very sorry to hear of your accident, glad you are enjoying how you are painting now.

Fiona and Sandra. Thank you for your comments and welcome. It is good to be back, I have missed it very much. Have had to change my style but perhaps not so much as I thought I would have to.

I agree with Tony, I’m not a fan of abstract, but there is something that draws me to this painting. And it also has me thinking of foliage and flowers.. it’s lovely, such good colours together

Thank you Jenny. Have wanted/needed to loosen up for some time and I loved how the colours worked together for me.

The first abstract in which I feel I am making progress, but I welcome comments, positive or negative, also any suggestions.
