Oh Ruth! How lovely this is. I assume that this is watercolour because of the negative painting used in the background.

Thank you Margaret, Sarah, Kirstie and Alan. Yes it is watercolour, Sarah. I painted most of it working outside the lines, which seemed to suit the subject well. I was pleased it worked because it is easy to get lost as to where you are up to and where you want to go. I find this form of negative painting a very challenging way of seeing and working. I feel as though I'm standing on my head sometimes but it's very absorbing. (Working this way, that is, not standing on my head!)
