Is it Sir Anthony Eden Robert?

Nice sketch Robert but I don’t have a clue who it is .

Sorry Robert, I was around then but no bells are ringing - like the sketch though

Excellent, I do love it when no one can identify the subject. Keep trying - hint: he was a dictator, and a military man.

Ronald Haber wins the non-existent prize! Generalissimo Francisco Franco Bahamonde - Git totalamente! Well done Ronald. And now we know how old you are.

Great sketch Robert.

So that's what Franco looked like. Sadly you have given him a very benign look.

I wouldn't have got him. A good strong drawing, good that you kept your older work...I wish I had. Sylvia sees a benign old man...often the case with villains...it's a pity they don't all sport horns and cloven heels.

Characterful sketch Robert.

You've certainly captured the imperiousness of the sneer! Love the line and tonal work, Robert.

This drawing, which I've just found - hence the thick and clumsy line in places - dates back to at least the 1970s, when this wicked old pestilence was still alive (a clue there.....). Can you identify him? No prizes.
