What can be coming over you, Robert is, inspiration, and about time. A lovely unified pallet.

A lovely loose landscape Robert. I particularly admire the Queen Anne’s lace, in the foreground.

Well Mr Jones this certainly was worth the wait, great painting and so good to see your creativity has returned.

Well done Robert.

I like the colour pallette (never know how to spell that!) and I love those trees Robert.

A delightful painting Robert.

Great inspiration coming over you Robert. Love the colour palette here.

Another good 'un.

Good to see you painting Robert, and I do like your use of knife here. A very pleasing painting.

I like this, it all works beautifully!

I like this, Robert, lovely soft colours and I particularly like the way you’ve painted the foreground.

Long may this bout of productivity last! Unmistakable as yours of course, but let’s get to the inner workings of this piece… You’ve positioned that tower slap bang centre, you’ll be aware of that obviously, so I’ll take it as being deliberate. But it does work in this instance. Perhaps could have been a bit darker even. It all gels together nicely!

Wow, you have become hyper! I love this, very good indeed

Love the subtlety of tone and colour and some great mark making

Thank you for all your comments - yes, Alan, the central placing was deliberate, after I tried a few variants in pencil sketches; wouldn't do it often, certainly! Full marks to those spotting that I'd used a knife - R O Dunlop wouldn't have approved: brushes or knives, he thought, one or the other, never both. He did have a point, but well.... I like using a knife sometimes, so, sorry, R O D!

Totally agree with all these comments, Robert! Stunning piece!

You must be taking something Robert, such a rush of productivity! I really like this, and especially your subtle palette as has been said. A delightful tranquil scene, and I like the use of knife.

Like the impasto work and the different textures you've created Robert.

Obviously play increases productivity! Lovely scene!

Oil, 82 by 10" - oil sketch, one of several pictures I've produced in the last week... productivity? What can be coming over me?
