Whatever Robert the shapes work well, and that object on the horizon gives a good sense of distance and contributes to the spacial sense.

You’re working some good strong tones into these sketches…that for me is the most important factor in any drawing - a powerful visual image with impact!

Love this scene, the imagination can do all sorts with it. M. R. James springs to mind looking at it.

Wasn't going to show this, I had murderous trouble with it and THEN managed to leave the top of the tower out. Clever, very. Anyway: it's ink, A4, a bit of conté crayon, and water. The architecture puzzled me, until I realized it once had a chapel attached to it; which I should have known, but there we are. We'll move onto a bit of colour next... I expect.
