Biro bleed-through by Robert Jones, Napa

Bleed through two

I've read your piece on the forum Robert and it is interesting to see the results of how the biro has faded over time.

Denise, in this case the biro didn't fade, but bled through to the other side of the paper - and also left a mark on another drawing in the sketch book, which annoyed me, because it was a better one. In another drawing, the ink has faded to a brown - you can still see it, but it's not a pretty sight....

Thank you Robert, its interesting modern art.

It doesn’t surprise me one bit, best to avoid if you’re looking for longevity! I’ve dropped a reply for you on the forum regarding Indian ink and pens, you’ll find it of interest…

Pity it bled as it looks interesting. Especially knowing a little about the Great Ralph.

Morning Robert. I've just responded to your question about my Romsey Abbey painting. I'm back there again today, painting a picture of Warsash, so if you can get across to the "North Island" in time, you could see how I go about things! Thank you for your kind comments.

This should have gone on the Forum page, as requested by John Inkson to demonstrate an old biro drawing bleeding through to the other side of the paper; but I couldn't re-size it given I've been lumbered with new technology which I don't know how to use.
