Beautiful

A simple peaceful scene made to look absolutely stunning! Such a range of natural greens and highlights, with the sunshine breaking through. And some leaning trunks and branches at an angle is a master stroke! Another beauty, Rob.

Beautiful watercolour painting 🖼 😍

My eye just travelled upwards to that lovely blue sky. Great perspective and feeling of joy comes through.

Thanks everyone! Most of this is a combination of sap green, lemon yellow and Q Gold, applied after a lot of masking of the trees to lay down the sun and sky. It didn't start to look right until the darks went in, and that was a lot of fun across the whole painting!

Light always brightest the darker the shadows. Super skilled wc!

It's really good Rob, the effect of the sunlight is glorious

Superb. The light is glorious. Interesting to learn how you did it.

Glorious painting Rob, what wonderful greens!

Beautiful sunlight, and a lovely range of greens.

This is stunning Rob, the sunlight in it is beautiful.

Excellent painting Rob, watercolour at its best. I am also a pure watercolourist as well.

This is brilliant, beautiful light and shadows

Watercolour, 38 x 56 cm. Light through trees is so beautiful, but it was a challenge to paint! I'm getting to really enjoy painting 'into sun' works like this - in this case, I think the nearby darks of the leaves and branches helps the brightness of the sun.
