Very beautiful piece.....You may need to blur the colour of the house to improve the colour perspective..Love the flowers and lovely colours.

What beautiful and unusual colours!! the eagle was taking a vacation of course val! ;)

Love this Val! It's so atmospheric, and the colors of the field are beautiful. I love the textures and the subtle changes of shades throughout the painting. Thank you very much too for your very kind comments on my paintings.

Love the colours here especially the rich oranges and purple in the foreground. I like the composition also with those lovely hills running to the top of the page.I might have left out the smoke from the chimney but the eagle was a good idea. Honestly, husbands, I dont always show mine a painting straight away because he usually says something like yours did and doesn't appreciate the work as a whole, or he'll say "mm, it's alright, whats for tea?" :) You have a lovely gallery Val.

I could spend hours within this painting, what an idyllic scene.

Just incase you didn't see my comment, I sent it twice, :)

Love that foreground Val. The eagle is beautifully done.

Great use of colour contrasts., heather and bracken. Works extremely well.

Stunning Val, I know the area and you have captured the atmosphere...spot on!!

Thank you everyone for your generous comments they are much appreciated. X

Hi Val, thank you for leaving your comment on my 'doodle', I've left a reply for you there if you have the time to look. Thanks again.

Husbands, eh?! This caught my eye straight away, Val, as it has all the wonderful colours of heathland. The little cottage draws your eye and it sits so well in the landscape. Really vibrant painting (and I wouldn't know a white tailed eagle if I saw one - so it's presence is fine by me!).

The problem with white tailed Eagles tell your hubby is that they don't have anywhere to put a GPS system when flying so it is quite possible it found itself in Torridon in Autumn, : ) nice pastel Val.

Soft pastel on colourfix adapted from a photo taken a couple of years ago whilst on holiday. I added the eagle as an after thought as the painting looked a bit empty. Hubby asked what a white tailed eagle was doing so far inland , trust him to point out the obvious.LOL
