A lovely painting, Val. Sorry to hear how the pastel dust affects your eyes!

A lovely scene Val.

Lovely result though!

Beautifully done, Val - a striking image!

A wonderful painting Val. I really love the mountains!

A really good pastel, such intensity of colour

Great colour.

Thank you David, Denise, Linda, Anne Spencer and Heather for taking the time to look and leave your generous comments, I appreciate them all.

This is so different for you Val. Love the charming cottages with the grandeur of the backdrop. I also love pastels but they can be troublesome because of the dust. Tried oil pastels but haven’t managed to get very good results as they are tricky to work with.

Love the warmth in this Val

The white harled cottage/bothy stands out beautifully in its surroundings Val. Can you perhaps wear glasses/safety glass to enclose your eyes to protect them? Might work.

Many thanks Martin, Carole and Fiona. Fiona, I already wear glasses, not sure if I could wear safety glasses on top. Mind you, if I did away with my glasses and just wore the safety ones it might loosen my art work up a bit😁

Soft Pastels. I've painted this cottage several times before but this is the first time in pastel. Unfortunately, as pastel is my favourite medium, I don't use them very often these days as the dust has started affecting my eyes. Thanks for taking a peek.
