A beauty, shall google drafting film - sounds like a tricky surface!

Ooooh Drafting Film..a new one on me must go and.ok. If you get lovely results like this it's worth it. Super kitty.

Lovely green eyes , nicely done portrait

Thank you so much everyone. I quite liked using drafting film (usually used by architects) for a change but felt I couldn't quite get the depth in the fur I wanted. It was good in the way that, being like thick transfer paper, you can gently scratch into it to remove pencil for whiskers etc. Also, if your drawing is the same size as your reference you can check the placement of eyes nose etc., or even trace it out completely if you want to. I didn't as I feel thats cheating but that's just me. Another advantage is when using light colours you can put some dark paper behind the drawing so it shows up better and visa versa when using dark colours. When framing it needs some paper behind it but that can be any colour that shows the drawing off to its best advantage. Hope I've explained this in a way that makes sense and it doesn't read like a lot of gobbledy gook LOL

Coloured pencil on drafting film. One I did a while ago during lockdown and have just rediscovered. My first attempt at using drafting film so a learning curve. Ref. photo Pixabay.
