I like it Val. The only thing I would suggest, to give a feel of recession, would be to darken the foreground, the sand getting lighter as it recedes.

Looks beautiful Val. I like the sand colours giving ridges and the glass beads work very well. As you say the sky is brilliant!

I can only do abstract acrylics as find it really difficult to work with. I agree with you that the sky is good and I like the water flowing over thelittle stones

Thank you Marjorie for your advice and I've darkened the foreground as you suggested and it looks better. Thanks Carole, wasn't sure about the glass beads thought it looked a bit bitty but they are growing on me :) I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds acrylics difficult to work with Diana and thank you for your positive comments.

Painted in acrylic!!! As you can see from this album I've only ever painted one other acrylic worth posting as acrylics and I don't usually get on. This afternoon, for some unknown reason, I decided to give them another go as some kind person had bought me some Cryla artists acrylics. Not brilliant by any means but I quite liked my sky. I experimented in the bottom left foreground and used glass beads to try and depict lots of small rocks, not sure it works. This is my very favourite beach in north west Scotland :)Constructive criticism very welcome, thanks for taking a peep.
